Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced ACA or ACCA qualified Senior Accountant to join our growing advisory practice. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality compliance services, providing proactive business advice, reviewing junior team members’ work and building strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare statutory accounts
Prepare corporation tax returns
Prepare self-assessment tax returns
Review VAT returns
Ensure compliance with HMRC and Companies House requirements
Prepare and review management accounts
Provide proactive business and financial advice
Support forecasting and budgeting
Identify tax planning opportunities
Review and mentor Trainee Accountant work
Maintain quality standards across client engagements
Contribute to improving internal processes and technology adoption

Skills & Experience

Essential

ACA or ACCA qualified
Previous UK accountancy practice experience
Strong technical accounting knowledge
Corporation tax experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple client relationships
Strong organisational and time management skills

Preferred

Xero Advisor Certification
Experience reviewing junior staff
Advisory experience
Management accounts experience
Payroll knowledge
Experience implementing cloud accounting solutions

Location: Primarily remote, with travel required at least twice a month to our office in Central London.
