Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced ACA or ACCA qualified Senior Accountant to join our growing advisory practice. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality compliance services, providing proactive business advice, reviewing junior team members’ work and building strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare statutory accounts
  • Prepare corporation tax returns
  • Prepare self-assessment tax returns
  • Review VAT returns
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC and Companies House requirements
  • Prepare and review management accounts
  • Provide proactive business and financial advice
  • Support forecasting and budgeting
  • Identify tax planning opportunities
  • Review and mentor Trainee Accountant work
  • Maintain quality standards across client engagements
  • Contribute to improving internal processes and technology adoption

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Previous UK accountancy practice experience
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Corporation tax experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple client relationships
  • Strong organisational and time management skills

Preferred

  • Xero Advisor Certification
  • Experience reviewing junior staff
  • Advisory experience
  • Management accounts experience
  • Payroll knowledge
  • Experience implementing cloud accounting solutions

Location: Primarily remote, with travel required at least twice a month to our office in Central London.
